It looks like a huge social ENGINEERING experiment with many layers and interactions taking place.  The use of hi tech surveillance equipment and so-called "non lethal weaponry" against unarmed people are two glaring examples of things being tested out for future domestic use.  The imperialists always try out their new toys on Indigenous people. Be sure that incredible amounts of info have been collected on every single person who has gone to Standing Rock as well as everyone associated with them.  Intricate maps of these networks are being prepared for agencies to share.  Perhaps the perpetrators are finding these networks much larger than they had imagined. It's great to stand in solidarity but when large numbers converge on one place, they are vulnerable.  Add to that the fact that still not all is as it seems.  There are many players with many agendas unfolding. We are not there but we are willing to bet that even if you are there, you'll be asking yourself wtf quite often.  No disrespect intended to the truly brave and dedicated.
