KU'E!While local media has marginalized the Kanaka Maoli position that we should not support this film, when I finally got an interview with an international media source they made sure to find the one Kanaka out there to counter us and belittle our position. I've already contacted Eugene Yang of ABC Australia and gave him my low opinion of his reporting style and to get the full interview he did with Hina so I can critique his editing skills. Yes as indigenous peoples we should be used to this already - when they are not ignoring us the media loves airing stories of black on black violence and Kanaka attacking other Kanaka.
