Note:  The U.S. was not the only one who had a Protectorate over Hawaii.  Great Britain, France, had Protectorates over Hawaii.

Belgium along with the U.S., Great Britain, and France recognized the Hawaiian Kingdom/Kingdom of Hawaii as a separate nation.

Recently, Dr. Alfred de Zayas of the United Nations also recognized the Hawaiian Kingdom/Kingdom of Hawaii as a nation and exposing the occupation of American military, and a fraudulent annexation.
