Vol VI No. 632 Part 1e

I have a daughter studying nutritional science at Cornell University. She shared this latest recipe with me and said everyone are dropping the extra sizes form it. I was skeptical at first, but now I don't even bother with the gym and I am SLIMMING down!

I drink this every morning when I wake up!

Alapaki Heanu That didn't sound like a joke. Their lands & ocean being bombed & poisoned with radiation for life is no joke. Their health & the ability to recieve health care is no joke. Being removed from your homeland because you can no longer be sustainable IS NO JOKE ok. Maybe you live in their shoe on their island for a day a month or a year to see how they feel.

I have some kind of respect for them cause 1, they are humans, they're people who love their families & for the most part have a lot in common with the Hawaiian people & culture. 2, I have a better respect for them now because Hokule'a wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for a Micronesian, yes, a Micronesian!

Papa Mau Piailug saw the art of traditional sailing growing in the Hawaiian culture in the 70's as it was a dying practice in his own culture. He thought that if he was to pass it onto the Hawaiian people, we would later share the gift back to his people so it could be kept alive. So yes, it was a Micronesian who revitalized that part in our culture. You can think of papa Mau Piailug when Hokule'a returns from her 3 year journey around tge world this coming June.

Robert Ebanez America should take good care if them since they nuked there country
We should fight for their rights to show what the American Government has done to other countries on this planet.

There are only 2 things in this Universe:..

Good and Evil

Kika Lomi Waialae America should take good care of them in America not in the Kingdom of Hawaii. The evil government of America should be sent to live in Bikini island 🌴 😉. Call it research.

David Aguilar You're against people who come to make a better living for their family? But you are ok with the people who came over and took over our kupunas land and life? Are you that brainwashed? We all should unite and overthrow these corporations that have taken so luch from our people.

David Pa'aluhi They are our bradaz & titaz. If it weren't for a great Micronesian man "papamau" we Hawaiians wouldn't have got back the ability to navigate by the stars . It was Papamau that taught Nainoa Thompson and many Hawaiians today

Robert Ebanez Its not their fault that America sent them to an occupied nation called The Hawaiian Kingdom. AMERICA should take good care of them since they are human beings.

We have become so indoctrinated in the Western society that we have forgotten our roots of Aloha.

America must pay for their ills of stupidity and compensate them accordingly.

Kristin Paulo This isn't funny. They're here because the US bombed the fuck out of their homelands. They lived sustainable lives until everything became poluted with radiation. They're being poisoned to death. Keiki too. Birth defects through the roof. I'm sure they would rather be on their own island living off their own resources but it's not an option. They'll die. 'A'ole pono 👎🏾

Stephanie Sanchez-Sagucio Its like saying everybody that is not Kanaka Maoli get out of the Hawaiian Kingdom. What can we do. They didnt know what was going on in their islands. The US govt told them to pack up and leave and placed a place they didnt know. They are good people the micronesian and a cousin to the Hawaiians. Compassion must be found.

Shana Wailana Logan Hi Keli, why attack the whole group? I personally are good friends with a lot of Micronesians, and they are not the stereotype you describe. They are hardworking, loving, and kindhearted. This post, your words, are not what our Queen would have agreed ...See More

LikeReply9 hrs
Michael Daly Artist It's the United States of America.

Everyone should quit calling the USA, America.

It rather confuses two whole continents rather than identifying, in this case, the target.

Use USA or spell it out: United States of America.
LikeReply9 hrsEdited
Kristin Paulo Yea but this post is about Micronesians. The main point is they're cousins to those of us who are Kanaka. Let's not divert the real issue here.

Hanale Hopfe USA.... not so united!!! Who voted for Trump???
LikeReply17 hrs
Michael Daly Artist Yes Kristin - i hesitate to bring up the issue of calling the USA America - if that's what you are talking about. It's a side issue but the reference to "America" is in the thread more than once and in caps by Robert Ebanez - i think he might be have been making my same point doing that (?)

But, you say this is about blood so maybe you're refering to my earlier comment about the whole of the "Pacific islands and the rim" as becoming a distraction.

Well the original post by Keli Akini just addresses Micronesians as forigners not cousins. Your rush to assume its about blood and try control the conversation based on race is shocking to me.

Steven Tayama All immigrants get the same shit when they first come and don't know (and aren't taught) the rules. Still, they are Human beings and must be treated with Aloha (humanity). The U$ is the perp and Hawaiians and Hawaii gotta take the jerk until we rid ourselves of the monstah.
