    paalua took care of 7 of Kamehameha III'sd children: 1) Opunui 2) Keawe 3) Mahoe 4) Kahalaoa 5) Kekipi 6) Papa and 7) Nalimu/ Kailakanoa ......haven't seen the connection of Sonny Paalua to our family lines to date.... Paalua had Kauhi; Kaawa; Mahina; Uiha/Kaluauiha and Kuapuu/Kekolohe Kuapuu.   • Amelia Gora more info from conversation with ohana here on fb: Mahalo nui e Amelia. The eldest ancestor that I know of was Pa'alua (k) married to Ho'omanawanui. They had a son named Sam Kapohu. They lived in Anahola, Kaua'i. Is this the same connection to your 'ohana? Please help.

    Hoomanawanui (w) married Hikiau 1 and 2, need to check the probates.....Hikiau appears to be the family of Hueu Davis, son of Isaac Davis and that's cool......

    I found your latest post about Abigail Kawananakoa quite interesting. Especially about the senior lines and junior lines of the Ali'i nui and Mo'i.

    I always thought that my ancestor Pa'alua was related to Mataio Kekuana'oa. Mahalo nui for clarifying my doubt.

    haven't explored all of Paalua's family yet.... but i know that Hoomanawanui was married to Hikiau....and our family was living on Hikiau's family land specifically Kuiaia.....in Liliha... maybe more info on Hoomanawanui is needed? John Young's line is awesome too because all of his children became the hanai of Kamehameha III 

    I guess that's why I feel like I'm at home when I visit Kaniakapupu I absolutely love that place.

    I will do more research on Ho'manawanui like you explained in your post about the makuahine lines were the ones that had more bearing than the makuakane lines.
