I thought I'd share a little trivia with you!
A'ole Ku'ulei, Las Vegas is not the Ninth Island of Hawai'i. Since 1892 it has been "Cooper" Island, aka Palmyra Island that is the Nineth Island ? Why? Where else in the open Pacific Ocean can you moor a ship awaiting passage via the Panama Canal?
On April 15, 1862 King Kamehameha IV annexed Palmyra Island under the Kingdom of Hawaii. Yet in 1859 Palmyra Island was claimed for the United States of America by a "Dr. GERRIT P. JUDD" of the brig Josephine and in accordance with the "Guano Islands Act" but no guano was there to be mined. What is guano? I know what guava is but guano? Guano is a highly valued fertilizer made from bird or bat shit and yet even worst than Shit itself was under this "Guano Island Act" of August 16,1856 it "enabled citizens of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to take possession of unclaimed islands that contains Guano deposits". Better than PIRACY!.
Now I don't know of the Hawaiian Kingdom having any guano birds but I do know we did have bat and rat shit in abundance> ..
Cooper Island? Now just who does or did this Island belonged to? Why none other than a Henry Ernest Cooper of the great "Committee of Safety" who read the Proclaimation document of the Overthrow of Queen Liliu'okalani on the side steps of Hale o Ali'iolani Hawaii Supreme Court on January 17,1893 while (160) Blue-Jacket fully "tactical deployed" U. S. Yes, the same Henry Cooper who in 1894 replaced Hawaiian Kingdom Supreme Court Justice Sanford Dole who had been appointed President of the fraudulent Republic of Hawaii in 1894. Henry Cooper has a extended existence in the Republic of Hawaii even to this very day Cooper Road is off East Manoa Road the early center of Caucasian Gentlemen Country Farmers domain who were one of the first to control stolen Hawaiian Crown Lands on Oahu.and then later even to marry onto a Ali'i Hawaiian Ohana of Ko'olau Poko.
Under USC Title 28 the U. S. Federal District Court for Palmyra Island is Honolulu?
This has always been alarming to me not because of the bird or bat shit but because of the Political Shit that has continued to flood the Hawaiian Kingdom Nation even before January 17, 1893.
