Aloha Alan S. Downer;
In our meeting with John Bond two weeks ago we mentioned the need for the toxic waist clean up by the US Navy at Barbers Point before the transfer of property to HUNT Development and the City and County of Honolulu for the heath and safety of the people and the Native Hawaiian Cultural resources like limu (endemic Hawaiian seaweed ), invertebrates, the fisher and heath and safety of fishermen, surfers, and the general public swimming in the Ocean in front to Barber's Point Naval Air Station.
In my research I found the inventory of hazardous toxic waste material inventory and locations of where to look at for clean up. This can be found in the DRAFT PROGRAMMATIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT Statements / found in: FORD ISLAND DEVELOPMENT Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Department of the Navy July 2001. Please view the information in the pdf.
