It won't be long before every Hawaiian will know the truth about how

you, Dr. Benham, treated the pueo on your campus- by tearing out every blade of grass

it needed for cover, removing every tree it used to roost, and bulldozing over its nesting sites it used there

to raise their broods- you cleared the sites- and used a backhoe to dig them up- by design, after being

informed, pueo are there. I got the evidence.

You are a disgrace.

HERE- two pueo flying out of one of the five nesting sites- July 2018:

Pueo June 27 2018 UHWO

You refused to act and investigate every time a nest was reported as active at UHWO-

You are worthless.

The word is getting out- -- about your treatment of the sacred pueo under your care

at UHWO- and how you have approved the destruction of its nesting sites and the

complete removal of all of its habitat there- even after knowingly knowing, pueo

are there per your own Project Pueo via Dr. Cotin's report!!!!.

I witnessed a active nest get bulldozed- on Dec 2 at 1pm- rather, my trail cameras recorded it-

caught "your guy" digging up the nest- I will release my evidence exposing you

after the Ombudsman rules on your behavior- complaint #19-000749 (HA)-

I contacted your Enforcement Branch to report the illegal taking of the pueo at UHWO

on December 5- and no one from your branch or division has responded back to me.

I called a week later to get the status on the complaint of the illegal take- YOU REFUSED TO EVEN INVESTIGATE AND REFUSED

TO GO TO SITE- the investigator talked to me and said- "I haven't been there"---and get this-

your investigator had no clue where the gulches were on UHWO- he thought it was UHManoa!!!!!

I told the investigator you will have a hard time finding the nests without my maps- and they REFUSED- would not give

me an email address to send the data!!! Why? Why would DLNR decline the evidence- and refuse to get the exact locations?

I left the dead pueo feathers there as evidence at the nesting site to prove it- it's on camera and you-

you should resign- you are a disgrace to the profession.

Aloha All-

Those in authority to protect the pueo have aborted their responsibility

to care for pueo- and hence, a bill is needed to get DLNR to do its job.

The Ombudsman cannot create a pueo preserve on state land- only the legislature can.

PUEO COUNTRY is a youtube channel that depicts the plight of the

pueo at UHWO -it shows how the state is violating the law, and the pueo harmed

by the inaction. To date- DLNR has claimed pueo are not there- only "flyby."

And therefore, DLNR refuses to lift a finger at UHWO to save them there.

Mike Lee has documentation of five pueo nesting sites at UHWO. But still,

DLNR has turned their backs on this scared bird ...and without the legislature's help,

the pueo are doomed there and habitat to be permanently destroyed.

This is why we need HB2629 re-introduced- and must find a new legislator

to RE-intro the bill as their own- and assign the bill with a new number when filed/decked.

Please consider using this 3-minute video from PUEO COUNTRY

as your own calling card to solicit a rep or senator to take HB2629,

and re-introduce it this year- and assign the bill a new number.

Please contact your own elected state reps and senator- to take heed, please.

(DLNR refuses to even investigate the property for pueo- how corrupt is that?)

There are over 100 videos with 100 plus individual separate sightings with

pueo living at UHWO- courting, foraging, sleeping etc. and a fledgling

was recorded here proving nests were here. But even with all this evidence,

DLNR won't respond and do anything- now you know why we need this bill

so bad....to do what is right. Future generations are counting on YOU GETTING

INVOLVED- DON'T STAND STILL- SAY SOMETHING TO YOUR REP.
