Aloha Ms Hoskins/USFWS-
Still trying to figure out what kind of bird this pueo was hunting down- see video pasted above- many species of birds are being extirpated along the Kaloi Stream segments as we speak by UHWO developers with many trees being cut down for development and pesticide spraying upon old fallow grounds with intensity- - (same at Ho'opili)----which such stench/poison may be impacting the pueo and its habitat for food ---and thus, point- in order to feast upon such tree dwellers as depicted in the video.......just curious......the little bird got away....but what is the pueo to eat-----this is a pueo chasing the small bird for food, agreed?
UHWO denies this bird that is chasing the smaller bird in the video is a pueo....can you comment? DLNR refuses to comment. If it is a barn owl- it no longer has a nest there and has vacated the area where I saw it reside for weeks in the past.....for some reason, owl activity at UHWO has declined dramatically within the last month or two- must be the wild dogs allowed to roam free on this property that are getting fat and appear to be well fed....I see the dogs almost daily having their way with the land at UHWO- facts: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=6U2-RErW6JM...... nothing has been done about it. Very disturbing. FYI
And this is the two pueo courting yesterday morning at UHWO- around 5am- they vacate the property at sunrise......
Remember now- DLNR and UHWO deny this bird seen here just a few weeks ago at UHWO is a pueo- they deny it- how corrupted is that- see it for yourself:
