Felicia Alongi Cowden0:00 Lorilani Keohokalole-Torio, your last name came up in this discussion probably 5 times, like we were all familiar with the story behind it. I am not. You must have an ancestor or family member who played a significant role in the later 1800's in Hawaii. Do you know the story? Can you share?

This Kumu, what is his name please, covered more than we could have learned in a lifetime. Please let us know when this will show on Hoike, so the Kapuna can watch too. James E Whitt No Hawai'i is not an occupied state; Hawai'i is an occupied "NATION". This like what Nazi Germany (then in WWII) did to boarder countries, same with the Russians, same as Serbia did to their boarder countries after the breakup of Yugoslavia........all of the above aforementioned set legal precedence that clearly depicts the illegal occupation of the sovereign nation of Hawai'i. I am not clouded by how great the United States is and as all countries have problems with democracy in terms of that form of politics. I will take the US of A always. However, in my humble opinion, this does not excuse the behavior of the USG and it's dark past. I believe that, as simple as this may sound or appear, I believe: 1. They, the USG does not know how to correct this problematic situation they created. They know their predecessors did, conspired, plotted and executed the theft of Hawai'i and are afraid of "what happens next" i.e., in terms of monetary reparations regarding the theft of Hawai'i. The rape of the Kingdom and murder of many citizens of Hawai'i/ 2. The USG fears the backlash of the lawsuits to follow as well as the fallout of the current political two party system in Hawai'i. And believe me, both parties believe the past is the past, forgive and forget. An important point, "ALL" of them do not have the Kingdom of Hawai'i in your best interests. 3. Lastly, they just do not know how to find closure in the simplest of terms that will allow the Kingdom to be recognized and established as it once was. They do not know what to do. Anyway, just my observations. Mahalo for the share Bobby.......

Trinidad A Williams U.S. government do not know...then for Kanaka show by presenting a fully elected unicameral head of government to take over; stay with current dept heads of the government entities that will remain until a referendum of the residents can be conducted as to permanent form of government ... simultaneously informing U.S.Executive Adm/Congress of move! Overthrow of Kingdom happened as unceremoniously-no reason for comeback to not be conducted in the same manner! Rules of protocol are being overridden all the time...time to show same balls in action.
