Hono Lulu Carriage I would think with all our military and ammo here in the mid pacific that we should be able to intercept a missle before it arrives. I witnessed many missles exposed right after 9/11 happened. All ships went out and made a barricade around the island. If anything hits here I think I would assume they (our leaders) allowed it to happen. There is a whole lot of defense and military intellegence stations here and with their technology I am pretty confident they would know as soon as anything leaves NKorea and 20 min should be more than enough time to counteract it. Prayers for all.

Brian Park-Siart We have 3 GMD bases at the moment with 10 interceptors each. So we do have the capability to stop an ICBM. However the reports on these interceptors is that they aren't always reliable.

Brian Park-Siart Randy, but the GMD's are Alaska, California and I forget the other base. They have been talking about having one in the Hawaiian Islands.

Brent Lieberman I would think, right now, NK missiles are even more unreliable?

Brian Park-Siart Brent, my fear is that they'll just launch a dozen of them and hope one makes it.

Brent Lieberman Really hard to think he would do that? He knows it would mean a really bad outcome for NK. He might be really crazy, but hopefully not that crazy.

Brian Park-Siart Brent, I don't think he's stupid, but he is crazy. All it would take though is us doing one thing that would provoke him.

Sam Ohu Gon III Hawaiʻi is not at all a likely target for an insane sabre-rattler. Japan will get nuked by North Korea long before Hawaiʻi (or Alaska, I daresay). And you can be sure that Japan is watching carefully for North Korea to show true capability to A) make a small enough nuclear device to put atop a missile and B) make a missile that can reach Japan with a warhead.

Brian Park-Siart Keep in mind our first successful test of our defense system against ICBM's was in May of this year. So we don't have a good track record of how well this system would work under a real attack.

If we strike first to prevent an attack then up to 300K citizens will he killed in South Korea in the first 30 minutes.

Malia Temana Laka Bruh you guys?! 20 min...you do know we have laser technology. The missile interceptor is second option. You can't see laser light waves ir hear it. It works . If they can mark a moving target at sharp angles that is. So much mark it that the it'll blow up a bowling ball on a moving ship without blowing up the ship...but it can blow up the ship. Vets warned us of Korea the know knew and waiting

Kui Rodrigues It's a no brainer really. Those war hawks, Neocon cowards are happy to send your sons and daughters to die for their profits, but you won't catch them volunteering.
War is a racket, a short and concise book by this man plainly lays it out, but even if you don't want to read it, the title says it all.

Amelia Gora am thinking their target is Washington DC ....then, somewhere in between the missile(s) will fall....so everyone should be worried............think will have to calculate the amount of fuel that they have available, who's supplying them... etc. scarey that N. Korea's leader is young, eccentric, and volatile.... then again what about leaders who are old, warmongering, eccentric, short fused and volatile disregarding all life and validating moves with executive orders.... both are scarey and c-r-a-z-y! so, where are the peacemakers? let's put our heads together or start building our underground burial homes?
