Aloha kakou he Hawai'i, "NOW"?

Now that Hokulea has after three years safely returned proved the Kanaka Maoli did it centuries ago with  the same desire and equipment, what are the Kanaka Maoli and Hawaiian Nationals doing to maintain  the Hawaiian Nation of today? And for most, is there a Hawaiian Nation? Why are to this very day, unanswered questions? The crew members of Hokulea learned it well!

While there is alot yet to be done but for a start let us come together as one this Sunday on July 30, 2017, the 174th anniversary of the Restoration of the Hawaiian Kingdom that took place at the celebration on July 31,1843 at Thomas Square in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

The history of Thomas Square goes back to a time when she was known as Kulaokahu'a that was considered to be a dry region of Oahu. It is alleged to be so barren that one could see the roof top of Punahou Academy (School) from what is today Ward Avenue.

Now for me at 5'9" that is stretching dryness, yet this area from Kulaokahu'a (Ward Avenue) to Manoa Valley became the first "Urban Renewal Project" to generate Property Taxes to pay for the Public Services of King Kamehameha III, Kauike'aoli new Government. Richard A. Greer the founding editor of "The Hawaiian Journal of History" wrote a most interesting "beginnings of
Kulaokahu'a and Thomas Square".

What I don't understand, of my experiences I have known this alleged "Kula" as being most abundant source of artesian water from  Ward Avenue Royal Brewery on Queen Street to the Quarry below University of Hawai'i Athletic compound. One must wonder when it rains heavy why does Kakaako flood?

Anyway, on Sunday July 30, 2017 some of us will hele mai, not at Thomas Square but this year at "Sky-Gate" the cousin of "da RAIL", on the grounds of between City Hall and Frank Fasi Municipal Building to honor the 174th Restoration of the Hawaiian Nation.

I will be there at 8:00 am to set up. The activity supposed start is 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Again, this is another "BYOC", Bring Your Own Chair! Being Sunday, Street meter parking was free but be prepared, da "RAIL" hungry!

If you can not make it, please think about what you can do. Above all, educate yourself about "who you are" and "what they want you" to be? Knowing the difference is your foundation.

The Registry of Hawaiian Nationals
Most independence proponents agree that we need to compile a registry of Hawaiian nationals — a list of those who are committed to restoring full independence for the Hawaiian Islands.

The people on the registry would comprise the lawful body politic to assert the national sovereignty of the Hawaiian Islands. This is something the Coalition has been working on for some time. We expect to get this launched soon. Come by our booth in Sunday and learn more about it.

Visit our web-site
Our website will be getting a makeover soon. But whatʻs there will still give you a good idea of what the Coalition of Hawaiian Nationals is all about.  Vistit the site at HawaiianNationals.com

A hui hou,
