Maria Taylor I think Jack is an arrow head for Hawaii - many people know how bad it is, but few live through it, leave and are able to return with evidence. When we left Hawaii in 2007, it was to save his life, but coming back also proved a systemic policy and pattern against the kanaka maoli which injures them and kills them. Jack didn't have the problems in California.

It is most important to note that Hawaii lands were NEVER ceded and the normalized use of the term "ceded" is incorrect and the precedent set in this otherwise accurate summary of Mauna Kea and land ownership is FALSE.
It is also MOST IMPORTANT to note that the "overthrow" of Hawaii is and was an UNLAWFUL OVERTHROW being that treaties existed between the U.S. and Ko Hawaii Pae Aina (The Hawaiian Kingdom).
Therefore the term unlawful, as opposed to illegal should ALWAYS proceed overthrow in regards to Hawaii.
To say overthrow without unlawful or with illlegal or with nothing proceeding this term is an enablement of, and collaboration with, the unlawful occupation, the economic genocide of all of Hawaii, and the ethnocide of kanaka and Ko Hawaii (Hawaii's National Subject Body and its descendants) past, present, and (hopefully not, but...) future.
"Illegal" should never proceed the term "overthrow" in regards to Hawaii, once you are made aware. The term "overthrow" should never be used in regards to Hawaii witout being proceeded by "unlawful." In other words to just state "the overthrow of Hawaii" is false, innacurate and wrong. So is "the illegal overthrow."
Why? "For something to be considered ‘illegal’, there has to be a specific law passed by a legislative authority, such as a local or national government that expressly makes it illegal. Something that is ‘unlawful’ is contrary or goes against the established law, without there being a specific law enacted by a legislative authority. So it seems illegal has more to do with internal laws and unlawful has more to do with external legal agreements like treaties.
On a separate note, although I am not a despicable lawyer but act as my own lawyer as Sacred Mauna Kea Hui's founder, I want to clear up some confusion in the case of what is called "common law." These set of mandates and regulations, called "common law," if adopted by a country's legislative entity, would fall under legal and not lawful.

Just got a call from the V.A. Advocate (for whom she advocates is still unsure.) She questioned me on my letter responding to their excuses letter dated 11/24/17. I don't know why she called...it doesn't involve her. This is a snibbit of that letter:
"This acknowledges your letter dated November 16, 2017 basically regurgitating the text of the Denial to his 38 Section 1151 Claim (1151 Claim) Mr. Iaukea received in September. As expected, the investigation of claims agains...t V.A. Pacific Healthcare (VA Hawaii) by V.A. Hawaii absolves itself of any wrongdoing. Such an investigation by the facility about which Mr. Iaukea complains is highly improper and prejudicial to him. However, Mr. Iaukea responds to your letter so as not to give an impression of agreement by non-response.
Mr. Iaukea’s 1151 Claim was a new claim, not an extension of his prior applications for service connected disability benefits, which applications are awaiting a hearing date. Mr. Iaukea’s 1151 Claim is independent of all other claims he has filed. Treating it as a claim for service connected disability, VA Hawaii used an improper review standard to make conclusions not authorized or covered by 38 USC Section 1151. 38 USC Section 1151 authorizes a claim for benefits for persons disabled by treatment. A service connected rating or disability is not necessary for this claim and this claim is specifically not a claim for service connected disabilities. Regardless of a rating for service connected disability, an entitlement to benefits under 38 U.S.C. 1151 is established if the evidence shows aggravation of a nonservice-connected (NSC), pre-existing condition as a result of VA medical treatment or examination.
The VA Medical Centers have a duty to its patients to exercise such reasonable care for the safety as their known mental and physical condition may require. Johnson v. Grant Hosp., 291 N.E.2d 440 , 446 (Ohio 1972) Had you actually read the Claim, you would have seen VA Hawaii failed to treat Mr. Iaukea forcing us to leave Hawaii in search of emergency medical treatment, which he received in California.
Mr. Iaukea’s kidney failure was a medical fact, not subject to “opinion.” Any and all medically trained physicians would have “reasonably foreseen” this condition is fatal without dialysis. The facts were known to VA Hawaii yet Mr. Iaukea was denied treatment. If, as you say, this is the normal course of business, then you have proven the 1151 and discrimination claim, namely, there was a documented medical need, VA Hawaii had the ability to treat, but fail to do so – which, in my opinion, is tantamount to genocide of a native Hawaiian. Mr. Iaukea did not receive life-saving dialysis by VA Hawaii. Specifically,..."
