UPDATE!!!! Was re-watching this video and at time frame 6:44 the guy who I thought they randomly grabbed in the white shirt was actually trying to push me into the cops. I'm wearing the green t-shirt and the guy in the white shirt appears to be getting ready and then pushes me from behind into the police. I saw the cops looking at the guy and getting ready as they were gonna come in and grab him but now I'm sure he was actually on their side trying to get me arrested. I felt like I was being protected yesterday, it's why I stood right on the front line now I know I was being protected because when he pushed me and they grabbed me I just bent over and walked backwards and they didn't try to hold me & I didn't get arrested but I just saw this and realized infiltrators were on our side of the line trying to get us hurt & make it worse.
This is what happened to us yesterday. Today we remain in ceremony and prayer to regroup and head back out to the frontline to remain in protection of the water. My car has been impounded :( I think the cost to get it back it back is $500

One of the most profound lessons that Native Americans have taught this entire country is that human beings, all of us, are part of nature. If we destroy nature, we are ultimately destroying the human beings of this planet. Stop the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Why I am posting many pictures on Standing Rock because for we Maoli kanaka Hawaii can be come a reality if we allow Federal recognition become part of a agenda of the Danners and all,of its affiliates! We need to continue to voice our concerns and let those so called Hawaiians who wants to represent us with no education on political history is HEWA. We the KU'E warriors will never surrender our Kupunas who sign the KU'E. lets not become what's happening in Standing Rock! This will be our path if we allow those who asking for Federal recognition! And this is what Federal recognition looks like! This is happening on sovereign First Nation lands. Sovereign to the United States is just words with no true intent of the meaning.

Kamahana Kealoha: Did you need a TMT to discover those things (you were just referring to)?
Dr. Hasinger: Yes.
Kamahana: Ok, what TMT?
OMG I like fell over laughing. I know Amano is trying to shut down this line of questioning but that was hilarious.

Nomi Carmona To those people who believe in the religion. I believe Germany might object to they don't have any sacred features. I kind of want to do a campaign to Germany.
Nomi Carmona "I'm going to sustain that objection (regarding what Gunther defines as sacred.) We've used that word all day long..."
Nomi Carmona "Sir, do you understand the direct question?" Omg Gunther is so delighted with himself hahah
Mehana Kihoi SOOOO many one liners I can't even keep up.
Nomi Carmona I can't even
Nomi Carmona I want to watch it again with popcorn and a glass of wine and pull the one liners.
Nomi Carmona You're not saying Micronesia is Polynesia right?
Leina'ala Sleightholm MaunaKea'Ohana KI: Well....then can you describe burials without land?
GH: There is scattering in the ocean
KI: Uhhm..Hhhmmm....that sounds more like sediment 😂 I could.not.even....bwah!!

All errr um, Many errrrr ummm, (waiting for Sanderson to object to my post) some pro astronomy (GH included) say they believe a balance can work between Hawaiian culture and Astronomy. What I see is 14 telescopes were proposed, 13 were built.. How is this a balance?

Mayor Arakawa...
Because you are the Mayor of Maui County AND you come from a culture with many spiritual parrallels and beliefs similar to native Hawaiian culture, I will address YOUR comments here....
1. Uproar? To many folks, such as native Hawaiians, residents, and visitors of Maui - Iao Valley is sacred. Many of Maui's Ali'i goinging back millenniums are buried here. Would you not be offended if the mayor of your ancestral village expressed the same sentiments you harbor for Lo'iloa Iao Valley? Yes? It would BEHOOVE us all (e.g. native Hawaiians, residents, and visitors) to be a bit more considerate and sensitive about those who are very passionate and protective of Iao Valley.
2. Caring for the aina (land) is not a made up religion. Hawaiians WITH their religion existed and thrived through these Hawaiian Islands over millenniums before (1778 A.D.) any FOREIGN religion came and imposed themselves upon us.
What the Mayor and County of Maui CAN/SHOULD do is have some sincere respect for ALL native Hawaiians, REGARDLESS of their religious preferences.
3. Toothbrush and Rocks - As I understand State Law MANDATES a Archeology Monitor be present on site when construction that requires DIGGING ground/earth.
Maybe not a toothbrush, but a Archeolgy Monitor, yes.
4. Is everything sacred? The simple answer is YES. For many people whether they are native Hawaiians or not...life, the physical world, the unseen world, the past/present/future are all sacred. Many are sincere and truly believe in this. It is not for the Mayor of Maui County to determine anyone's religious beliefs. I would expect the Mayor of Maui County to respect peoples choices REGARDLESS of he/she may opine or feel.
Many of Maui's ancestral Ali'i going back thousands of years are burried there at Iao Valley. Please respect this fact. Iao Valley is....the Valley of Kings.
Ending:
Mr. Arakawa.... I truly believe YOUR comments do not reflect the many GOOD FOLKS of Maui - HOWEVER, you do represent the COUNTY of MAUI.
Autumn Rae Ness
This is the Mayor of Maui.
Disrespecting the most basic parts of Hawaiian culture.
Making fun of Maui residents who show up to participate in their government
He's an ego-maniac, law breaking, rude, short-sighted, self interested, liability to Maui and it's future.
