When you examine the approvals for the dozens of solar farms to come- it
is imperative law makers ensure proper acreage is dedicated to the pueo-
beforehand- and not AFTER the fact....when no land, and no pueo will be
left to mitigate.
I don't expect a response from DBEDT - however, in the absence of my own
State Senator who continues to refuse to respond to my emails regarding the plight of the
pueo, please consider adopting the inquiry and advancing to DBEDT the same
request for resolve---- please see below-.mahalo.
In short- the public should have readily available a map that illustrates what
the landscape will look like in the year 2045 when all solar farms as planned
for are activated.
Point- the Pueo Population Distribution Survey/Breeding Ecology Study
conflicts with the data as offered by DBEDT that a vast majority of territory
slated for solar farm operations are not utilized by endangered species- when
per the Pueo Report the pueo are most abundant exactly where DBEDT
wants to place solar farms.
