Under the direction of General John W. Foster, a Yale graduate, and employed under U.S. President Benjamin Harrison, the premeditated move to usurp Queen Liliuokalani was brought to fruition in 1893 after the initial moves began with the mercenaries/missionaries in 1820.
The names of Generals and Naval Military officers involved in the Conspiracy to overthrow a neutral, friendly, non-violent, non-warring nation who did not allow Americans to borrow monies during King Kalakaua's time led to an already planned usurpation to move quickly:
