It is not a matter of months, or even weeks, or days now-   but rather hours-  the clock is ticking against the fate of the Pueo @ Honouliuli Ahupua'a and fast-

When the farmers position themselves to their newly created defoliated 1/4 acre by 1/4 diversified plots-    24/7 on site presence-   abutting Hunehune Gulch (buffer of trees was removed in June of 2017 with 100% clear cut)-   the following scenario is bound to play out:

The nesting site you see in the latest Pueo recording-  see below-   will soon be less than 10 yards away from the farmers' encampment /base -  and when this does occur, it is of my opinion of Pueo Behavior, that the family of Pueo at Hunehune Gulch will not return-

For when this Prime Pueo Patch does indeed go by the way of the farmer and the netting/wall construction/fencing/ post and wire strewn transpires, there will be no places remaining for the Pueo to fly away to-  no where for it to hide-  no jurisdiction designated for the Pueo to call its own.  No dignity provided to sit on its eggs in peace-  while yet battling mongoose, rats, dogs, and people- non-stop 24/7.  

The video depicts the Pueo never had more than a 3-minute period to sleep in a duration over a span of three hours-  extremely stressful as is.

The concept for an in situ Pueo Preserve - Refuge- Park - Sanctuary - UHWO Laboratory, must be advanced now-  for by tomorrow, it could be too late.

I hope the Kapolei Honokai Hale Makakilo Neighborhood Board takes action - for the subjectis on tonight's Board Agenda. Who will make the motion for the UHWO Pueo Endangered Species Lab-  ??? 

I suggest going to site ASAP-   if you want to see it- or be a witness and record its last hours-  I highly recommend you take action now before it is too late and the opportunity to see Pueo forever gone from these skies.

We can have the real deal and protect it - or admire the Pueo in the form of the mascot on campus-  which do you prefer-  ? Do you want to advance a situation and environment whereby a person in a costume is cheered on at sporting events mimicking the Pueo-  or honoring that sacred bird- breathing, which is it?
